Mrs. Gloria Helen Smeltzer

Mrs. Gloria Helen (Zboyovsky) Smeltzer, of Lake Cowichan, British Columbia, Canada, born on January 10, 1935 in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada, to the late Peter Zboyovsky, passed away at age 83 on March 15, 2018 in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. She graduated from St. Pauls for graduate school in 1956. She was in the Medical industry as a Registered Nurse at Burnaby General Hospital. Gloria was married to her devoted husband Len Smeltzer. She was preceded in death by her son, Norman Peake; and brother, Richard Zboyovsky. Gloria is survived by her son, Raymond Peake; daughters, Teresa Werre and Gail Peake; brothers, Peter Zboyovsky and Raymond Zboyovsky; and sisters, Maribell Hershmiller and Deloris Morrical. Gloria had a passion for tennis, badminton, cross country skiing, and square dancing. The family invites donations in Gloria's name to Alzheimer’s Society in lieu of flowers. Friends and family can pay their respects at the celebration of life at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue in Burnaby on Tuesday March 27, at 12:30pm.
