

With great sadness, we announce the passing of the Matriarch of our family, Hang Fong Tsang 曾吳杏芳. A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she peacefully passed away at over 100 years old. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and caring nature that will forever be remembered by her family.
Hang Fong is survived by her kin: Thomas, Jenny, James and Irene along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Born in Hong Kong, Hang Fong immigrated to Canada in 1992 with her devoted husband and children. Together they embarked on a new journey and settled in Vancouver where they enjoyed a serene and retired life.
Her favourite pastimes included welcoming visitors to their home, shopping, mahjong, savouring steamed fish, indulging in fruits and desserts, and enjoying her favourite Port Wine.
As a dedicated mother and grandmother, their home was always filled with her infectious laughter at every gathering. Her home was a place of love and hospitality, where and family and friends were always welcomed with a smile and a delicious meal.
Though she may have departed from this world, Hang Fong’s warmth and kindness will live on in the hearts of those fortunate to know her.
As she reunites with her beloved husband in the afterlife, may she find eternal peace and serenity.
A memorial service and celebration of Hang Fong’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 10:00am at the Ocean View Cemetery (4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, B.C.) with a reception to follow.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
