

Hing Face Wong was born in Toisan Village in China on March 3rd 1932. As a young man he enjoyed nature by spending his time partaking in various outdoor activities such as swimming, bird watching, climbing trees, and fishing.
Hing Face's father was the first to arrive in Canada. His father worked for some time at the McNeely family home before bringing his family over. Hing Face then arrived in Canada in 1951. He spent his first year in Canada learning English and then eventually landed a job in Prince Rupert working by the sea where he distributed and delivered fish around town.
After working for nine years in British Columbia, Hing Face went to Hong Kong to meet and marry his lovely wife, Ho Ming. After they married, they stayed in Hong Kong for half a year before heading back to Canada.
Back in Canada, Hing Face continued to work with the McNeely family home along with his mom, Looshee. He then got a job as a production manager at Top Value Foods where he worked until he retired.
Predeceased by Hing Face are his mother Looshee Wong, and father Gee Wong. Hing Face is survived by his wife Ho Ming, daughters Judy and Wendy, son in law Toby and Tim, grandsons Kurtis and Niklas, brother Sam and sister in law May.
Hing Face made the most of his life by spending time enjoying his many hobbies with his loved ones. Hing Face loved being active, he was a skilled handyman who enjoyed renovating his home and garden. He also loved to go for his daily walks outside, even when it was raining or snowing. Hing Face had a passion for good food as he enjoyed eating and cooking, some of his signature dishes included roast beef, scallop potatoes, and black sesame pudding. Hing Face loved to travel with his family and friends, he has explored many parts of the world such as Hawaii, China, New York city, New Jersey, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Disneyland and his most latest trip a cruise to Eastern Canada and US where he visited Halifax, Nova Scotia, Boston and Maine.
Hing Face passed away peacefully at Mount St Joseph's Hospital on December 2nd 2020. Hing Face was a very special person as he was kind, calm, caring, and he always had a nice smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
