She was born in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, China, on January 26, 1912. She was a hard working woman who survived the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong where she endured hardship, and economic turmoil. She married Chan Ka Po, and began their family.
In 1975, she immigrated to Coquitlam, BC where she raised her grandchildren, and made many friends.
In January 2019, she was recognized by the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, and the Province of British Columbia on her milestone birthday. She celebrated with many friends from Cartier House Care Center, where she spent her last three years.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Mok Yu Fong, and Annie Kam Ling Ng.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby, BC.
