Predeceased by husband James in 2011, she will be missed by her children Peter and Jeanne, their spouses, and her grandchildren.
Iris immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong with her family in 1989, and called Vancouver home. She enjoyed a quiet life in her twilight years, spending her time with family and friends, enjoying dim sum at her favourite restaurants, and looking forward to regular visits to the Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House Seniors Centre.
She will be remembered for her love of her family, her resilience, and her sense of humour.
The family thanks her caregivers at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital and the Vancouver Hospice for ensuring Iris’ comfort in her final days.
A private visitation and burial will be held at Ocean View Cemetery. If you feel so moved, in lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to a charity of your choosing in Iris’ memory.
