Ilda Lorenzetto

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ilda Lorenzetto, who passed away peacefully at Burnaby General Hospital with her family by her side. Ilda was born in Priverno, Latina, Italy. At the age of 23, she immigrated to Canada to start a new life with her husband, Giovanni raising three children together. Ilda was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved unconditionally. Kind-hearted and compassionate, Ilda always gave back to others and was generous to all she encountered. Ilda always welcomed her extended family and friends into her home and heart. Throughout her life, her great passions of hosting festive gatherings and cooking for others brought her immense joy! She was a wonderful cook and a fashionista! Her radiant smile and laugh will be cherished forever.

Predeceased by her mother Antonia, father Emilio, her siblings Agnese, Renato, Elide, Antonio and Vilma, step-grandchild, Michael and brother and sisters-in-laws in Canada, Australia and Italy as well as many cherished friends that meant so much to her. Ilda is survived by her loving children Rita (Nicola); Renata; and Franco (Lisa); grandchildren Carly (Raymond) and Michael (Sunita) and many dear nieces, nephews and dear friends in Canada, Australia and Italy.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Burnaby Hospital for their continuous care and compassion for Ilda until the very end.

A viewing will be held at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, located at 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC, V5C2J6, on February 2, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for February 3, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Parish Church, 1450 Delta Ave, Burnaby, BC, V5B 3G2, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Entombment will take place on February 3, 2026, at Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC, V5J 1A4, from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm.
