James was a Public Transit Operator with Safe Driving award for 36 years, for BC Hydro, then to BC Transit and to Coast Mountain Bus Company; he retired in April of 2010. After retirement, he continued driving his wife Juvy to and from work with his fancy cars. He was an avid photographer, his camera walked him around. His passion was photography and cars.
He leaves behind his wife Juvy, and sister Beverly (Frank). James was and always will be loved by his stepchildren Mark (Remaline), Jaurice (Roy), Lily (Ulysses) and Lourdes (Elvis), and grandchildren Mark Shen, Rosemaline, Jacery, Jewel, Jaide, Jauvel, Grayson, and Alexis.
The memorial viewing will be held on July 20th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and July 22nd from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home's Chapel. The following day on July 23rd, church viewing will be held at 10:30 am with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am at Saint Mary’s Parish, 5251 Joyce St., Vancouver, B.C.
Memorial donations may be made to BC Cancer Agency and BC Children’s Hospital Agency in Memory of James Johnson.
