I’m deeply saddened to hear about Jan’s passing. I had the privilege of working with him, and he was truly a wonderful person to be around. He was always helpful, soft-spoken, and humble. His kindness touched everyone he worked with, and it is a great loss to the world to lose someone like him.

May his soul rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the memories and impact he leaves behind.

Jan was one of my closest friends when I was still in Canada. He was someone I could always confide in, who always treated me with sincerity and kindness, and that’s something I’ll never forget. I can still picture him passing by our area in the office, his smile instantly brightening our day. He was always there, cheering me on and encouraging me as I faced new chapters in my life.

Jan, I miss your jokes, the way you talked about your day, and the way you always shared stories about how you cared for your mom. Though we lost touch over the years, I always carried with me the kindness and encouragement you gave. 

To Aunty and the rest of the family, may you find comfort in knowing how deeply Jan was loved and how many lives he touched with his kindness and warmth. Rest now in God’s loving presence, Jan. May your soul be surrounded with the peace, warmth, and joy that you so greatly deserve. You will forever be in our hearts.

It is never easy to accept the loss of Jan who was so young and close to us. He was always being respectful and caring, especially to his mom.  I am very sorry I couldn't see Jan off in person. I will always remember Jan as a good-natured, well-mannered and patient young man.

About ten years ago, when I learned that Jan Lauren loved to listen to the music of the 70's, I asked if he knew Roy Orbison. He said yes and his favorite was 'You Got It'. I found it interesting because not many his age listens to the sound of that era, much lest appreciates it.

We have been fortunate to have known Jan and to have had him in our family.  He will be greatly missed.
I remember my dance with Jan at Lindsay and Ryan's wedding.  With two left feet, I worried that I'd be stepping on his toes.  Jan led the dance smoothly, while carrying on a conversation with me to ease my nervousness.
Jan was always caring and respectful.  He was quiet and kind, easy to talk with.  His smile showed in his eyes.
Jan has left too soon, but my memories of him, and with him, will stay with me.

My deepest condolences to Josie, Jolen, Ryan, Ariana and Alex. I can’t imagine your deep pain upon the sudden loss of a loving son, a kind and generous brother and uncle.  I also feel my own pain of losing such a thoughtful and caring godson.  You have touched so many lives in your short earthly journey. Farewell, Ren. I remember Ren, the boy that always smile, he was well- loved.

I have not had any interactions with Jan aka Ren Ren in the last 20 years but as a member of CFC-HOLD he almost always made himself available in our past activities ever helpful even to simple things like fixing the audio or cable or amplifier so our Handmaids can sing their hearts out karaoke style in the old house where we held Christmas gatherings before they downsized. He did not have an air of arrogance in him but just a humble and caring attitude.  His devotion to his family most especially to his Mom was evident from the start.  RIP Jan. God bless you.

I have known Renren for a long time. We really bonded during our basketball years.   It is really sad to hear the sad news of his passing. I wished we could have seen each other and talked before he passed. Memories of you will be remembered, my friend. I hope you rest in peace and are now free of pain.  Till we meet again.
