Mr. Jeffrey Wai Lee

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Jeffrey Wai Lee, 55, our beloved son, brother and uncle passed away suddenly at home on November 30, 2019. Jeff is predeceased by his father, Jan Yung and survived by his mother, Yee Shun, his siblings Wayne (Jennifer), Sandra (Stephen), Deanna, Donna (Kelvin), nieces Wendy, Rachel, Allison, Katie, Jaden and nephews Alexander, Nicholas and Kiefer.

Jeff was born in Vancouver on April 22, 1964 and grew up in Surrey. Jeff attended West Whalley Junior Secondary School where he met some of his closest friends. He graduated from Queen Elizabeth Secondary and after high school, gained a diploma from Kwantlen College in Computer Information Systems. Jeff worked in Information Technology (IT) positions at various companies, starting at Montreal Trust, Royal Trust and then moved on to the BC Centre for Disease Control, Provincial Health Services Authority and ISM (IBM).

Jeff was a man of many talents and interests. He dabbled in photography, golf, home renovation and more recently cooking and travel.

Jeff affected many people in his short lifetime and formed many lasting friendships wherever he went. He had many cherished friends. Jeff was well liked and gained the respect of his colleagues for his thoroughness, ability and work ethic. Jeff had a quiet strength and he will be remembered for his caring nature, thoughtfulness and kindness. Jeff also had a gentleness that both babies and pets were innately drawn to.

Family was important to Jeff. Whenever anyone needed anything, we could always depend on him to be there, and he will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday December 12th, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Forest Lawn Chapel, located in the center of Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
