Jim “Dad” Young passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at Vancouver General Hospital. He immigrated to Canada as a child in 1950 and built a life marked by perseverance, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family. A longtime pharmacist and small-business owner, Jim expressed his love not through words but through tireless work, generosity, and steadfast presence. He was a devoted husband, a proud father of three sons, and a cherished grandfather whose legacy of humility, resilience, and selfless love will continue through generations.
A Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia, on Friday, January 16th, 2026, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
The Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at 1:00 pm in The Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, followed by Interment at 2:45 pm.
