It is with Great Sadness that we announce the passing of our father John (Jack, Pa, Papa). He was a quick-witted harmonica player, who entertained all with his humor, singing and curiosity. Predeceased by his wife Bernice, brothers Don and Ross. John is survived by his sister Hazel, his children Jane (Dave), Tim (Bernadette), Tom (Joanne), Tony (Monique) and grandchildren Crystal, Tara, Jarett, Harrison, Spencer, Caleigh, Dayle, Therese, Tarl, Sydney. John worked in coastal logging for 40 years and retired in Vancouver at age 60, but never became 'old'. He enjoyed having a chat with a stranger, gardening and walking throughout the city studying the various species of trees. John moved to Port Coquitlam in 2009 where he made many new friends. Service to be held at 12:45 pm, December 10, 2013 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
