I just heard of John's passing today.  
I certainly remember him for his great sense of humour and such a caring way.  Also, remember him getting names for our lotteries in hopes that we all could retire in the sun!!  
I also so remember when your first child was born and how proud you both were.

I unfortunately only heard today of John's passing with great sadness. John was a good friend that I shared many a laugh with at work. My family's condolences to John's family he was a good man.

It is with a heavy heart I write this to your wonderful loving family. Although my brief four years spent with John You and the family I have experienced much happiness and camaraderie with you all as a new member of the Keen & Piazza family. Although John's returning home was far too early for us all the funeral & celebration of John's life was amazing.  John's impact on the many lives he had touched in his all too short life was wonderful to witness. John Keen had his very own unique way of reaching deeper into each and every one of our spirits more than any of us had truly understood which was evidenced by the overwhelming  attendance paying homage and last respects to a wonderful kind man they all had grown to know and love. 
The fond happy memories I have been blessed with by John will linger for a very long time in my heart and each time those happy moments surface throughout my life I will experience the happiness as it was happening all over again. These are what John has gifted me and all those he touched ..and for that I will be eternally grateful.

I will never forget John Keen he was such a kind harding working man. Always cheerful always with a smile on his face. John one time helped me personally with a health and safety problem way back when. It was when we first got computers I had a boss who didn't want to spend the money on a proper desk for me when computers first came in. My Boss told me after I asked for a proper desk for my computer that I could just do without the computer. I went to John explained my issue within a week I had what I wanted. I remember him going into the boss' office when he came out he walked by my desk winked at me grinned with that wonderful grin he had and said don't worry Susan it's been taken care of! John was a man who cared about everyone from a clerk to an officer!

So very sorry Anna for your loss. John was one of the good guys at VPD.  He always had the time for people and their questions and laughed at all the craziness.  I know he'll always watch over you and the family from a better place.

I had known John for many years on the on the job, he was the cop with a ever beaming smile and always had something funny to say or comment that would make you laugh. He will be sadly missed, my condolences to Anna and the family during this sad time.

It was with great sadness that I heard of John's passing.    I served on the Safety and Health committee with him for years and I know that he did so much behind the scenes work to keep the members  of VPD safe and secure in the workplace, and that he did it with a great humility and pride.
