Passed away peacefully on November 25, 2009 at the age of 94. He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years Margaret. He is survived by his loving family, children Marion Wood and Al (Valerie), grandson Toby (Helen) and great grandchildren Cory, Brittany, Madison, and Mackenzie. After serving in the RCAF overseas, John returned to Winnipeg and moved to Vancouver in 1946 where he worked for Woodward's Department Store until retirement. During his retirement he enjoyed many years of travel with family and friends. He enjoyed his hobby as a magician and was awarded to Order of Merlin Excalibur by the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 2007. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm December 10, 2009 at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Community Charities Fund 1495 W. 8th Avenue, Vancouver BC V6H 1C9 in memory of John McLeod.
