Born in Lima Peru on June 20th, 1929, Justina passed away peacefully on March 31st, 2011. She was the 4th of 15 siblings, predeceased by her husband Jose (2002) survived by her daughter Marita, (Roberto) , grandson Jose (Magali) and great- grandchildren Alex, Lauren & Daniela. She is also survived by her siblings Felicita, Julio, Pablo, Sabina, Rosa, Elena, Antonio, Benjamin & Teresa.
Suffered from Diabetes and heart problems, her health deteriorated after her last surgery in July 2010. After a long stay at the Vancouver General and UBC hospitals, she passed away at age 81. She is remembered by all her family as a hard working woman, a pragmatist, a loving great grandmother, full of compassion and energy.
Many thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff at UBC Hospital who made her last days so comfortable & dignified.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday April 15th at 11:00 am, Saint Andrew Church, 480 East 47th Avenue in Vancouver.
