Mr. Kam On Tong

Mr. Kam On Tong was born of Cantonese origin on June 3, 1934 in Shanghai, China. After obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Russian Language from the Shanghai International Studies University, he taught Russian in Hainan Island.

In the 1960s, he moved to Hong Kong to pursue a career in Finance. In 1970, he married Helen Wing Cheung Kwong. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer. In 1978, he immigrated to Vancouver. Kam On had extremely strong ties with his parents, 3 brothers & their families. They all moved from Shanghai to Hong Kong, & finally settled down in Vancouver. He treasured each family celebration.

Kam On was an affectionate, considerate, caring man, as well as, a loyal & dedicated Accountant. He received a 20-year service award shortly before his retirement in 2007. Friend & family alike would agree that he was amongst one of the kindest people they have ever met. He was well respected by everyone.

In his leisure time, Kam On enjoyed traveling, taking photos of his adventures & tending meticulously to his many flowers.

Throughout his battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Kam On was in positive spirits & was more concerned about the people that he loved than any discomfort that he was enduring. On July 6, 2008, he passed away peacefully at Richmond General Hospital.

We will miss Kam On’s warm smile & wonderful sense of humor. We are thankful for all the special moments that he has shared with us. And with that, let’s say farewell to a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, great uncle, & friend. Kam On will continue to live on within our hearts forever.

唐金安先生於一九三四年六月三日出生于上海,兄弟四人,排行第三. 在上海接受高深教育,畢業于上海俄文專科大學. 翌年派往海南島任教, 桃李滿門.

唐先生於一九六零年由海南島遷往香港謀生, 從事財經行業,一九七零年在香港與鄺詠璋女士結婚,有一女. 一九七八年舉家移民加國,定居溫哥華. 在溫市任職會計,直至退休.

唐先生不幸於二零零八年七月六日病逝於烈治文中央醫院. 積閏享壽七十七歲. 唐先生生平待人接物,和藹可親,人品高潔,忠厚勤儉,又富幽默感. 生平乃喜好旅遊世界各地,觀光拍照. 工餘興趣則愛料理園藝盆景. 唐先生以耆年碩德,今一旦老成凋謝,各親朋摯友驚聞惡耗,素車白馬,均感惋惜悲傷!

於葬禮儀式後, 唐先生即安葬科士蘭墓園. 及後, 孝眷將特設素餐予各位享用, 以酬謝各親友之高誼隆情,親臨執紼.並蒙各位厚惠賻儀,花圈, 及海外各親友之電話慰問. 衷心感激.
