Kit Chan

It is with heavy hearts, we share the passing of Edmund Kit Chan. Edmund was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He passed peacefully on March 16, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones.

He enjoyed a life of simplicity filled with his favourite things. Whether it be indulging in a Hong Kong style breakfast, travelling to Thailand more times than most people (his family would always joke that there are other places worth visiting, but Edmund loved Thailand), or sharing jokes with colleagues. He always had a positive attitude and humour to brighten up the lives of those around him. If you ask anyone that knew Edmund to share a memory they shared with him - there would be laughs, followed by a smile.

He showed his love for his wife Carine and daughter Vuitton through his love languages: homemade food and acts of services. His values are reflected through teaching his daughter the importance of independence and integrity.

He will forever and always be in our hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC, V5J1A4, CA, on April 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

It would mean a lot to Edmund and our family to have you join us, in honour of the love, laughs, and memories he shared with you.
