Alvina was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan in 1938 and spent most of her life residing in Burnaby B.C.
She first worked for the City of Vancouver Motor Vehicle Inspection Station. Later, working for many years with the General Mills Pillsbury Co.
In her retirement, Alvina volunteered at Burnaby's Confederation Senior's Center for over 10 years.
She loved to sew, was an avid reader, and an exceptional hard worker. Alvina was the strength of our family and always remained close and instrumental to her two sons and other family and friends.
Alvina is survived by her brother Orville, sister-in-law Raija, sons Steve and Rob, daughter-in-law Marjorie and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A service will be held at the chapel at Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:30pm.
