Lina was always a welcome and vibrant light to our family, for my mother especially. Her jovial and frank approach to life was contagious, as was her love of dancing. When I heard Lina won first place in a dance competition recently, I was not surpised. Throughout the years from 5 to 35, from festa to wedding, she would always come find me for a dance, and I always looked forward to it. Her confidence and purity of heart always lead by example.

Our deepest condolences to the family, who were blessed by Lina's long life and nurturing  presence.

I will always remember your mother as a great friend of our family and how she always had the ability to share laughter and make you smile. She was a wonderful dancer having danced with her at weddings and I always remember watching what amazing dancers she and your father were.

Dear Robert and Peter,

Our families have lived together in the neighborhood for over 50years.  We are saddened to hear of your mom's passing.  She was a formidable presence on the street.  As a young girl in the neighborhood I have to admit I was scared of her!  But in recent years when visiting my parents down the street, we had some nice chats and catching up on how my kids were and what her "boys" were up to.   I'm sure she is happily greeted by Mr Qualizza and Mr and Mrs Smith, dearest neighbors.  Our deepest condolences from the Ho family.

I first met Lina and Mario on my wedding day in 1991 to Darryl Smith The Smiths were long time neighbours to Lina and Mario. When Lina saw us being married on the front lawn she immediately had the most beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to us. We went over to thank them and that’s when I knew I had a new loving friend. We continued visiting with Lina even after the passing of Mario. We always looked through photo albums and photos on the walls. Her Dancing photos were beautiful and we always talked of going to Milano where Lina Loved. I can finally tell Lina we have our trip booked to Milano Italy. We will think of you when we are there. We miss you and pray for your family at this sad time. You are with Mario now . I knew Lina as an aunt and friend for more than 60 years.  She always was kind, welcoming and loving.  I'm so grateful that I got to share laughter, joy and tears with her.  She was the person who saw me through the difficult times and the good times.  She was the person who picked me up and helped me hold things together after the passing of my mother and her sister.  I'm really going to miss her but know that the memories we made together are etched eternally in my heart and for as long as I live those memories shall too.
