Louise Paulsen passed away after a brief yet difficult struggle with an aggressive form of brain cancer on May 6th at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Coquitlam BC. Louise will be lovingly missed by her daughter Lisa Styka, her Son-In Law Richard Styka, and 4 grandchildren Noah, Elaina, Caius and Quinn and her ex-husband Steve Paulsen. She was born on March 30th 1938 in Edmonton Alberta to George and Gladys Bayly and shared two siblings Arlene and Richard. Louise was a math teacher New Westminster Secondary School for 33 years. She made quite a few trips going to Kenya and Tanzania for months at a time and she loved it, outside of spending quality time with her family. Although we will all miss her, Louise had said she lived a very full life as a mother, grandmother, teacher, volunteer and world traveler. There will be a service and celebration of life at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby on May 19th at 12:30 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral home with a reception following.
