To the Family of Mrs. Yaremchuk: 

I did not know your mother personally, but I have the Ukrainian cookbook, “The Art of Cooking Ukrainian Style.” For those who don’t know, Mrs. Yaremchuk was the Chairperson of the Cookbook Committee for this cookbook. Previously, during the 1980s, when I was a university student, I worked at the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, in Saskatoon. The gift shop at the UMC used to sell this cookbook and I purchased one. This cookbook was printed in 1965, “To mark the 30th Anniversary of the Lesia Ukrainka Branch of the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada, 1933-1963,” UWAC Vancouver Branch. In her acknowledgment, the President of the UWAC Vancouver Branch, thanked your mother for her patience and perseverance to complete this cookbook. What a legacy your mother left! It remains one of the best Ukrainian cookbooks which outlines traditional recipes for Ukrainian Christmas Eve and (Traditional) Easter Fare. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the tenth anniversary of your mother’s passing. 



I want to express my most heartfelt condolences to Darcy and the whole family and do not want to miss to say she was a very dear person to me when I was a student in Vancouver and treated me like his son.

Deepest sympathy to the Kut family for the loss of your Mother. She was such a strong women, overcoming many obstacles in her life. I'll never forget Darcy and I sitting in the kitchen of the family home in Burnaby while her Mom prepared a snack for us, it was the best thing I'd ever tasted! A home rich in Ukrainian tradition, the love she had for each of her children. She will be greatly missed by many.

We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Luba Yaremchuk on the loss of your mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Luba's marriage to Uncle Dr. Stephen Yaremchuk presented us the opportunity to get to know her; for this we remain very grateful. How sad since we were looking forward to seeing her this summer .Vichnaya Pamyat

Deepest Sympathy to the whole extended family at the loss of this wonderful woman.  Luba was the epitome of generosity of spirit, friendship and material things.  I will miss our wonderful phone calls where, in spite of her own pain, she always had an uplifting word.
