

Margaret was born in Verwood, Sakatchewan and passed away peacefully at Burnaby, British Columbia. She is predeceased by her parents James and Margaret Allan also of Verwood and husband John Lovick, in August 1991, also sister Agnes Hopkins and brother James Allan. Survived by her brother George (Dorothy) Allan, nieces Donna (Ian) Roach and Lorraine (Kevin) Punshon and nephew Jack Allan all of Regina, Saskatchewan. Margaret was raised in Verwood, Saskatchewan where she attended school, followed by Regina Normal School. She began her teaching career in Grand Coulee and Markinch, Saskatchewan. She then moved to Kelowna, British Columbia, where she taught for a year then moved to teach in Cranbrook. Finally settling in Burnaby, Margaret taught for 27 years. During this time, she obtained her education degree from the University of British Columbia. After retirement Margaret continued many friendships with former students and always enjoyed a visit from them. Margaret was active in her church and various associations connected to education. She was a very kind person who loved to shop and generously shared many gifts with people. A private family service will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan at a later date.
