She was very proud of the letters she received from the Queen and the Prime Minister celebrating her 100 th birthday.
Peggy grew up in Vancouver very involved with her church and community. She sang in the choir that would perform in The Theater Under the Stars. For her working career she was the secretary at Kitsilano High School. She lovingly cared for her aging parents.
In 1969 she met and married the love of her life, Ken Smith,and moved to White Rock. Peggy served with the Eastern Star for 40 years, the UCW for 30 years and her church prayer ministry for 25 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Annie Grubb; her brother, Dr. Eric Grubb; and her husband,Ken Smith.
There will be a memorial service celebrating her long life on June 29,2019 at Peninsula United Church, 2756 127th Street,Surrey, BC. at 2 pm.
