Maria Giuseppina Barbaro

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Teurino (Liliana) and daughter Rosanna (Chris), brother Vincenzo (Assunta) in Vancouver and sisters Angela (Franco) and Antonietta in Italy, grandchildren Christina, Michael, Adam, Daniela, Lisa and many nieces and nephews in Vancouver, Italy and Brazil.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Gaetano in 1998, her mother Filomena and her brother Pietro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday May 14, 2026, at Corpus Christi Parish, 6350 Nanaimo St., Vancouver, B.C. Entombment to follow at the Ocean View Burial Park South Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name can be made to her favourite charities, Covenant House, Canucks Place and Variety Club.

The family wishes to send special thanks to Burnaby General Hospital, Mt. St. Joseph Hospital, Shannon Oaks and Clarendon Court for their care and compassion. They were bright shining stars in her darkest moments. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed at the following link. The link will be live 15min. prior to the mass.
