Maria Teresa Lukezic (Belmonte), 82, of Burnaby, British Columbia passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026 in Burnaby Hospital.
She was born in 1944 in Cosenza, southern Italy and arrived in Canada at the age of 12 in 1956. After attending St. Francis of Assisi school in Vancouver, she later worked as a hairdresser until 1964, when she married and had four children, Richard, Josephine, Lilian and Bernadette. After marriage, she was dedicated to raising and supporting her family. Those who knew her loved her. She is survived by her aforementioned children, daughter in law Annamaria, brother Armando, sister Anna and several nieces and nephews in the Greater Vancouver area.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Parish 1450 Delta ave. Burnaby on Friday July 31, at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow at the Ocean View Burial Park Grand Mausoleum.
