Our dearest Nini, we miss you so much! Thank you for the wonderful adventures, the laughter, the support and the love that you showered us. You have the most generous soul and the bravest spirit. You were a great sister, friend, hiking buddy and Ninang. All these years, you have been a big part of our lives. It won't be the same without you. We will continue our adventures and we will think of you and cherish your great legacy. Until we meet again. We love you! Happy trails!

It's an honor to have celebrated life with my friend Nini especially with one thing that we shared the love for together…..that is the love of adventure and mother nature. We have hiked mountains together, we have seen beautiful places together, had fun and laughed together….. memories that took long years to build and now they have been a part of me ever since. I missed Nini so much like all of us do, she was full of life ... but life is like a mist that vanishes into the air. It is incredibly sad that Nini's life ended so soon, but our sovereign God has a plan for her which He will reveal somehow, someday. How I wish we could have had more years of adventure to spend together. We had initial plans of going to Europe, Hawaii, the Glaciers of Montana and more, but now building those future memories will never be the same again. On the other hand, Nini's passing is just the birth of her new life now…the life of eternity with our Creator, Happy Birthday to you Nini ! We will see each again someday.

A friend of Nini

I met Nini at DPArchitects. We would skip work at times when we joined and trained together at the Metropolitain Mountaineering Society.  The last time we hiked together was last 2003 at the Yosemite National Park with the Yayas, where we celebrated my 30th and her 40th birthday! Good times. She is the most caring person I've ever met, she's like a mother who hovers over you :-) and she's always thinking about others. The one thing that I will always remember about Nini is that she has a way with words that would always make me laugh. I know that there is little that can be said to ease your family's grief- but I hope it helps to know that Nini touched many lives and will be remembered with love.

In the short time that we knew Maria, we could tell that she was a kind and vibrant soul. Always so willing to help and even over the phone we could tell she wore that beautiful smile. Sending our positive thoughts and energy to Maria, her family and her friends.

I wish the Salgado family much strength and unity at this challenging time.  While I only knew Maria for a short period of time, she was very helpful and positive colleague.  She brightened the office with her big smile and it will be dearly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Salgado family during this difficult time. Maria was a pleasure to know. Her smile big and her heart bigger.
