Marietta Di Leta

Marietta Di Leta (Miele), passed away on August 15th 2021 at the age of 94. She was born on August 5th 1927 in Cassino, Italy. She is survived by her loving family; her daughter Rosina (Jan) Nilsson; grandchildren Tomas (Destiny) Nilsson, Daniel (Kelsey) Nilsson, Carina (Cyrus) Thiedeke and Annelie (Jameel) Dhanani and her; great grandchildren; Colten (Trista), Isabelle, Finn, Augustus, Oliver and Milla.

Marietta will be remembered fondly by her brothers Pietro, Antonio, Italo, sisters Lina, Carmela and Anna, all in Italy.

She was predeceased by her husband Luigi, and daughter Domenica as well as her parents Angelo and Maria Miele, brothers Giussepe, Carlo and Domenico.

Marietta was a homemaker all her life and made the best Lasagna and Pizza. Her family was important to her and she was always happy when the grand kids and great grand kids came to visit. She kept in touch with her large family in Italy by phone and many trips to her home in Cassino. There were always great gatherings, eating, talking and remembering earlier times.

We love you Nonna and we miss you. Rest in peace.

Funeral Service for Marietta will be held on Friday September 27, 2021 at 9:00 am at Ocean View Funeral Home in Burnaby. Interment will follow in the South Mausoleum.
