Marilyn Joan Simpson

Marilyn is predeceased by her parents Jack and Helen Anderson of North Battleford, Saskatchewan and brother Greg. She will be forever missed and loved by her husband of nearly 40 years, Lloyd, daughter Erika (Russell), grandchildren Sophia and Dylan, brother Gordon (Debbie) and many extended family and friends. Marilyn worked as a dog trainer for many years and will be dearly missed by many four legged friends as well.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Marilyn would agree that she was extremely hard working and would always help those in need. She loved spending time in the kitchen cooking for her family, outdoors in her garden and walking her dogs. In recent years, the addition of two grandchildren was an added enjoyment in Marilyn’s life, she enjoyed playing card games, reading books and spending time outdoors with them.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chia and the staff at Vancouver Cancer Clinic as well as the staff at Burnaby Hospital for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation (http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/)
