“Death. A grievous, dark passage we all go through that causes loved ones to weep after our absence. Is it? Born in China on November 15, 1943, Mee Ying Yuen lived life to the fullest until stomach cancer began edging away at her strength. She passed away in Vancouver, BC on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Her amusing family stories created laughter at the dinner table during times of struggle, while Yuen’s passion for cooking and gardening ran the house a little quicker.
A commemorative service will be held in honour of Mee Ying Yuen at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby on Saturday August 20th at 10:00am, followed by committal service at Ocean View Burial Park.
