Mrs. Mei Lan Lam

With great sadness and much love, we announce the passing of Mei Lan Lam, who passed away at home on July 25, 2026, after almost a century of life filled with cherished memories.

Born on November 20, 1926, in Enping, Guangdong Province, China, Mei Lan lived a life filled with strength, determination, and devotion to her family. She later immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, where she continued to build a life centered around her family.

Mei Lan was the wife of Hing Wong Lam and a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is remembered by her son Chun Chung and his wife, Faysan, and their daughter, Paulina; Chui Wan and her husband, Guó, and their children, Benjamin, Camellia, and Alden; Jim and his wife, Lily, and their children, Walter, Jenna, and Jenna’s husband, Jeff, and their children, Juniper and Banks; Samantha and her daughter, Michelle, and Michelle’s husband, Joe; Peter and his wife, Christine, and their sons, Ryan and Quintin; and Gary and his wife, Tracy, and their children, Adrian and Tiffany. She was predeceased by her son, George.

Mei Lan’s greatest joy came from caring for her family and her grandchildren. She was always proud of their achievements in all aspects of life. She was a woman of strong character, determined, sentimental, and never afraid to share her opinions. She loved playing mahjong, listening and watching Chinese opera, admiring beautiful homes, and sharing moments of laughter with those around her.

Mei Lan’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and family. Through the many changes she witnessed and the challenges she overcame, she remained devoted to the people who mattered most. Her traditions, laughter, and the love she gave so freely will continue through the generations that follow.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

追忆林美兰

带着无尽的思念与不舍，我们送别林美兰。她于2026年7月25日在家中安详离世，走完了近百年的人生路，留下了满满的美好回忆。

美兰1926年11月20日出生于广东恩平。她一生坚强、有主见，对家人的付出从不计较。后来她移居加拿大温哥华，在那里继续经营着一个充满爱与温暖的家。

美兰是林興旺的妻子，也是儿孙们心中的母亲、祖母、曾祖母。她将永远活在家人的思念中：儿子震中与妻子Faysan，女儿Paulina；女儿翠云与丈夫国，孩子Benjamin、Camellia和Audin；儿子震華与妻子Lily，孩子Walter、Jenna，Jenna的丈夫Jeff，以及他们的孩子Juniper和Banks；女儿小燕与女儿Michelle，Michelle的丈夫Joe；儿子震邦与妻子Christine，孩子Ryan和Quintin；还有儿子震英与妻子Tracy，孩子Adrian和Tiffany。儿子震威先她一步离去。

对美兰来说，能陪伴家人、照顾家人,就是她一生最大的幸福。看着孙辈们一个个长大成才，是她最欣慰、最骄傲的事。她性格要强，认定的事绝不轻易改变,是个重情重义的人，心里想什么从不藏着掖着。平日里她喜欢打麻将，爱看戏曲，也爱欣赏漂亮的房子，更喜欢和身边人一起说说笑笑，享受那些温馨的小时光。

美兰的一生，是坚韧与爱的一生。无论时代如何变迁，无论遇到多少难关，她始终把最重要的人放在心上，用心守护着。她留下的家风、她的笑声，还有她毫无保留给予家人的爱，会一直传下去。

家人和所有认识她的人，都会深深怀念她，她将永远活在大家心里。
