

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael John Trainor. Mike was born on October 3rd, 1946 in Montreal, Quebec, and passed away in Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of 79. Throughout his life, Mike was known for his steadfast character and deep commitment to his beliefs. While he dedicated many years of diligent service to WCB, it was his unwavering devotion to Christ that truly defined him. His faith was not merely a part of his life, but its guiding purpose.
Mike was a loving husband to his beloved wife, Arsenia, whose partnership and companionship were among his greatest blessings. He is also survived by his cherished siblings, Brian (Mary Ann), Monica (Brian), Niall (Brenda), and Christine (Lloyd), his nephews and nieces, and a wide circle of dear friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.
He was predeceased by his father, Justice William Trainor, and his mother Betty (nee Williams) Trainor, whose guidance and love shaped the man he became.
Mike will be remembered for his faithful heart, his dedication to family, and the enduring example of a life lived in service to God and others. His memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were privileged to know him.
Mike was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, an association that reflected his deep Catholic faith and commitment to charity, unity, and fraternity. The members of the Knights of Columbus will serve as his pallbearers, to honour their brother.
