OBITUARY

Ngok Ching Lee

27 November, 1934 – 23 August, 2026
IN THE CARE OF

Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park

Our beloved dad, Alan Ngok Ching Lee, was born on November 27,1934 in Macau as the seventh of 10 sons. In his youth, he moved to Hong Kong to attend Ning Nam University and settled there after, where he met his beautiful wife, Shirley Yum Bick AuYeung, and raised their three children.

In August 1976, our parents immigrated to Vancouver with our family, giving up a stable life for a better future. Our family started attending Vancouver Chinese Alliance Church and Alan was baptized in 1978. He was a devout Christian, serving in various ministries and graduating from Regent College with a diploma in Christian studies.

Alan was a person of integrity during his career as a real estate agent in Vancouver. He loved and supported all of us. He was kind, trustworthy, sincere, friendly, and a generous philanthropist. He also had a legendary and exceptionally sharp memory! He loved fellowshipping with his brothers and sisters in Christ, friends, and relatives over dimsum.

After retirement, our parents enjoyed exploring the world on cruise ships. We were blessed to enjoy some family cruises together too!

In his later years, we thank the Lord for providing our dad with supportive homes at Legacy and Opal, where his sociable, friendly, and generous nature was a delight to all the staff.

Our dad was called to be with our Lord on August 23, 2026. He is now in heaven in God’s embrace. Praise the Lord!

Alan is survived by his wife Shirley; his children Vivian, Jacqueline (Patrick), and Jennifer (Peter); his grandchildren Andrea, Benita (Joseph), Nathan (Jenny), and Kristin; and his great-grandchildren James, Adalyn, Joshua, Samuel, Abigail, and Matthew.

A family graveside service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home on September 9, 2026 at 10am (viewing at 9am). In keeping with Alan’s passion for philanthropy, memorial gifts may be directed to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. https://vghfoundation.ca/
