Norbert MacKenzie, 89, of Vancouver BC passed away in his sleep, Tuesday, August 16, 2016. In accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral service.
Norbert was born in Luseland, Saskatchewan in November 1926 and grew up in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. He moved to Vancouver in the 1940’s where he worked for The City of Vancouver for 39 years. He was a highly respected advocate for working people in the CUPE 1004 Union.
Norbert was predeceased by his spouse Ester Lillian (Maggie) in 2002. He is survived by his daughter Grace (Lee Chapelle), niece Jean (Gordon McIlveen), sister Francette, and many other beloved family members. He will be dearly missed.
