It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Father and Grandfather of Orlando Russo who passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026 at the age of 92 years old.
He is survived by his wife Nunziatina, and were married in 1954 and spent many happy years together building a home and raising two children, Nick and Luciana.
He is survived by his wife Nunziatina, his daughter Luciana Daphne Russo (daughter-in-law) , and his grandchildren Michael (Paulina) Vincent, Nicole, Stephanie (Luke) Sabrina (Waylon) and Great Grandchildren Amelia, Zoe and Henry. Brother in law (Tony Cardarelli) and sister in law (Teresa Russo).
Orlando was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose life was defined by the love of his family, his many talents, and caring nature.
Born with natural gifts. Orlando had a special talent for music and a strong work ethic. A skilled carpenter, foreman, he was a hardworking man who took pride in his work skills he shared throughout his life.
Orlando was blessed with a natural musical talent, finding joy in playing both the Piano and Accordion.
Soon after arriving in Canada he quickly joined a band playing piano and before long his passion for music lead him to form the Orlando Russo Orchestra.
Music became a meaningful part of his life, allowing him to share his talent, and bring people together.
He performed at Italian community celebrations, events that held a special place in his heart, where he could celebrate his heritage, connect with community and share his love of music.
Above all, he loved his family and holds a special place in the hearts closest to him. He was also a caretaker, always giving his care and attention to those he loved. His devotion to his family and friends was an important part of who he was and the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever.
We also would like to express our deepest gratitude to the caregivers: (Rhoda), (Ruby), (Odelia),(Pryanka) and doctors who took such great care of Orlando at Dania Home.
