It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paolo Amenta on July 10, 2026 at the age of 89 years. Born in Melilli, Sicily, Paolo came to Canada in 1956 to start a new life defined by hard work, devotion and family. He loved people and was most happy when surrounded by friends or family. He will be deeply missed by his wife Maria, daughters Anna (Spiros), Linda and son Sebastian (Nives). In addition, he will be lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren: Lorenzo, Luca, Dario, Paolo, Anthony, Michael and Dimitri, his extended family and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Creekside Mausoleum, 3789 Royal Oak, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Cross Society in Paolo's memory.
