Paolo Pannozzo

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Paolo Pannozzo on April 21, 2025 at the age of 91 surrounded by his family. Paolo was born January 26,1934 in Campodimele, Latina, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1952, settling in Vancouver, BC.

Paolo will be lovingly remembered by his children Lidia (Tommaso), Margarita (Antonio), Anna (Brian), and his step children Giuliana (Reinhold) and Nicolino (Esther), 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, his sister Emilia DiTrocchio, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Valentina, his second wife Anna Maria, his parents Crocifissa and Giuseppe Pannozzo, his brother Lucio and brother-in-law Gerardo.

Paolo was a loving, devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband and friend. Celebrating events and milestones in the lives of all he loved brought him so much joy. With limited English, Paolo began his career with Lumberland and throughout his 45 years with this company, he climbed the corporate ladder and retired as a Purchaser/Buyer.

Paolo was a skillful gardener and loved to share his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. He took great pride growing amazing fruits and vegetables in his backyard garden. He was especially proud of his plum tree where he grafted many variations of plums all onto one tree. He graciously shared his plums, along with his delicious figs with friends, family and those who had a yearly standing order.

His passions were many, from wine making, fishing, hunting, dancing, watching sports on TV, playing cards, and barbecuing for family and friends.

Paolo leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, kindness, and generosity that will be remembered by those who knew him. He will be forever in our hearts.

Our deepest appreciation and thanks go to the wonderful staff at the Villa Carital for their care of our father during the past three years. In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations to the Villa Carital care home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 6th at 11:00am at Holy Cross, 1450 Delta Ave, Burnaby.
