It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Pasqualino 'Pat' Ranallo. He was a truly amazing man whose contagious smile and delightful personality touched the lives of all. Pasqualino was born in Ateleta, L'Aquila, Italy on November 7, 1951, and passed away peacefully at VGH on April 3, 2012, with his family by his side. His life was taken too soon after a courageous battle with liver disease. He will be forever missed by his loving and dedicated wife Annita of 39 years, children Marisa (Tony), Guerino (Sabrina), Liana, and grandchildren Sofia, Luigi, Alyssa, Gianluca and Massimo. He is also survived by his mother Albina, brothers Eutimio (Domenica), Claudio (Lidia), mother-in-law Lina, many nieces and nephews, and his pal 'Brandy' the family dog. Predeceased by his father Guerino and father-in-law Giuseppe Marandola, Pat's passion for the outdoors led him to an adventurous life and was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. Working at Dario's La Piazza Restaurant, Pasqualino created some of his greatest friendships. He dedicated his life to providing for his family, and was always willing to help out a friend. Pasqualino was a great man and his legacy will carry on. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, April 11 at 7pm from St. Helen's Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph St., Burnaby where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 12 at 1pm. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Cemetery South Mausoleum. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Wildlife Federation.
Dad, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
