Carson, Linda, Ken and families,
Auntie Paula was such a sweet and gentle lady.  I always picture her smiling, and I always picture Uncle C.P. laughing!  They are both in Heaven dancing and laughing together now.  May God be your comfort and strength as you grieve the passing of Auntie Paula.

To My Wu Cousins
Auntie Paula will be greatly missed. I remember the few times our family drove up from California to visit our Canadian Wu cousins.
Dad would have the station wagon loaded up with me and my 4 siblings  so Mom could visit her brothers. Auntie Paula was so friendly and kind. She had this twinkle in her eye when she found a way  to make you smile or even better laugh!
Another angel is now up in heaven smiling down on us.
Her Spirit lighting up in the heavens…Strong…Bright..and…Never Ending. 
May Peace eventually find you in this difficult time. 
Auntie Paula had a life well-lived. And  we were all lucky enough to be a part of the joy she shared with one and all.

Hi my name is Michael Wan. I'm the 11 year old boy standing next to Ken in Elisa's photo. 55 years has gone by, where did the time go? I don't have any pictures of Auntie Paula but I will always remember her smile. Most of my memories of Auntie Paula were during my adolescent. But that kind, soothing smile has forever imprinted in me. Those fortunate enough to have grown up around her and experienced her kindness are truly blessed. There is a song "Hey Paula". I think she told me uncle CP used to sing to her. Whenever I hear her song, it always reminds me of her. Thank you, Auntie Paula, for making me smile.

Never forgotten memories of Auntie Paula - the matriarch of the Chan family - engraved in our hearts - Sending our deepest condolences to Linda and family, Carson and family and Ken and family.  With lots of love Mason, Lindzay and family and JoJo and family.

Auntie Paula and Uncle C.P. were good friends of my parents, Rose and Paul Tchang, and I have good memories of our visits to the old Granville St. house. I will miss Paula and CP but know that Carson, Ken, and Linda will have so many great memories of their parents.

I never saw Auntie without a big smile and a twinkle in her eyes...perhaps including a bit of mischief behind them?

I recall that she arrived at one of GS's church events or services with one of my dad's sisters . I was surprised that they knew each other...very well! I wish I had gotten to know her just as well.  She also knew one of my other aunts. It's a small world indeed!

To Linda, Carson, Ken & families...I'll be celebrating with you, your mom's, grandma's, great-grandma's life...one that was well-lived.

In the first Canadian summer, Auntie Paula and Uncle CP took time to take us to different places.  At that time, going to Cultus Lake was like going to Timbuktu.  It was so far away.   I remember as Uncle CP drove along Hwy #1, Auntie Paula pointed out a little tree, covered in ivy, a Canadian flag with a little flag.  She said it was to remember a war hero.  It was called Charlie's Tree.   Since then,  every time I past Charlie's Tree, ( no kidding...even now ) I always see Auntie Paula's smiling face.   God bless Auntie Paula. 

Our family arrived in Vancouver on April 4, 1967, knowing absolutely nobody.  My dad ( back row behind Auntie Paula ) had a letter of introduction given to him by a colleague before we left HK.  Auntie Paula and Uncle CP ( and Linda, Carson and Kenneth ) came to meet us at the airport.  A family of 5 came to pick up another family of 5 ( with big luggages ).  The 10 of us piled into Uncle CP's sedan.  I guess, no seatbelts back then.   The rest is just history.  Auntie Paula always had a smile and a giggle and she always had a joke to tease.  Here is a photo of our family in Butchart Garden in August of 1969.   Uncle CP must have been the photographer!  Auntie Paula came to see my mother in the summer of 2019, just a few months before my mother passed away.  Thank you Auntie Paula for making us feel so welcome and comfortable in the new country and for being such a wonderful friend throughout the ( nearly ) 55 years since our arrival in Canada.
