Pietro Pizzolato

September 27, 1938 – January 14, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pietro Pizzolato, a loving husband, cherished father, and a very proud Nonno.

Born on September 27, 1938, in Volpago del Montello, Italy, Pietro passed peacefully on January 14, 2025, with his beloved wife by his side.

Pietro is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Bruna, and his children, Michael (Sara) and Cristina (Unti). He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Gabriella (Giorgio) and his treasured grandchildren, Agostino, Julia, Alessio, Stella, Adriano, Romano, and Marta, who were the light of his life.

He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews along with many family members and friends in BC, Italy, and the United States.

Pietro was a devoted family man, deeply cherished by his children and grandchildren. He found joy in being surrounded by his grandchildren, always keeping a watchful eye on their lives, knowing where they were and what they were up to.

Now at peace, Pietro faced and overcame many illnesses in the latter years of his life with remarkable strength and courage. Dad, your legacy of love and family will continue to inspire us always.

Viewing for family and friends to be held on Monday, January 27, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 28 at 11:00 am at St. Helen’s Parish, 3860 Triumph St, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park South Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Pietro Pizzolato to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation or the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation.
