Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of our loving mother, wife, nonna and sister, Rina Tinaburri. Affectionately known for her smile and laugh, she passed away peacefully on November 5, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her mother Angelina, father Giovanni, and brother, Guerino. She is survived by her husband, Giuseppe, of 60 years, children; Carlo (Carla), Lucy (Vic), and grandchildren Alessandra, Nicole, Vanessa, Leah, and Alex, sisters Lidia and Vera, brothers Aurelio, Jack and Santino, and many nieces and nephews. Rina was born in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy on February 1, 1936. She immigrated to Canada in 1960 where she married the love of her life and raised her beautiful family. Rina is remembered for her infectious smile, her love of people, her genuine concern for others, and the immense love that she had for her family. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the Fraser Health Palliative Care nurses. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BC Cancer Foundation. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Funeral Mass will be held privately.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest,
It broke our hearts to see you go,
God only takes the best.
They say that memories are golden,
Well maybe that is true,
But we never wanted memories,
We only wanted you.
Your life was love and labour,
Your love for your family true,
You did your best for all of us,
We will always remember you.
We sat beside your bedside,
Our hearts were crushed and sore,
We did our duty to the end,
‘Til we could do no more.
In tears we watched you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
And though our hearts were breaking,
We knew you could not stay.
Our lips cannot speak how we loved you,
Our hearts cannot tell what to say,
But God only knows how we miss you,
In our home that is lonely today.
Dio prende i migliori.
In lacrime ti abbiamo visto lasciarci, ti abbiamo visto svanire,
