Tina ' so sorry to hear about Rinaldo. Scarlett called me on Sat. and I could hardly believe the news.. I met him quite often at Hydro while having lunch at their cafe and we chatted about things. I always looked forward to our meetings. 

Just to let you know I am thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. Maybe we will get a chance to see you at Scarlett's some time in the near future.

Although we haven't seen each other for quite some time, our thoughts and prayers have been with you over the last few months.
 You show fortitude during this incredibly difficult period. Rinaldo's quiet and kind spirit will be missed. We pray that God will continue to bless you with strength as you raise your boys into young men over the next years. We will continue to pray for you.

 I was so sorry to learn of Rinaldo's passing. Before I even met Rinaldo, I used to see him often in the days when he worked at Safeway. For some reason, I always '˜noticed' Rinaldo and I observed how he interacted with his workmates. It was obvious that he was loved and respected by his co-workers and he cared about them too. My sincere condolences to you and your family and to Tina and her sons.

I will always remember Rinaldo as a kind and gentle soul. I have not seen Rinaldo in many years as I am living abroad now, but I will always remember the laughs we shared together in elementary school at Capitol Hill. My condolences to family and close friends of Rinaldo and I hope that your own suffering eases with time.

I was privileged to have known Rinaldo as a colleague at BC Hydro. He always had a smile and a greeting for anyone he met. Rinaldo was a hardworker, travelling from one site to another with briefcase in hand ' always prepared.
 
He was a gentle soul who now rests in the care of heaven's angels.
 
I wish his family much strength and my sincere condolences.

I am so blessed to have had a chance to see you 2.5 weeks ago. I didn't want to let go of you. I am so grateful that you were apart of my life and a very very dear friend. You will be missed by many.

I had the honor of going to school with reginaldo at bby north and with all the years that have gone by, i still remember what a beautiful person he was. I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer in 2001 at the age of 55 so i felt i had to let the family know that my heart goes out to all of you and for his wife and children, i can't begin to say how sorry i am for the loss of your wonderful husband and father, but always know, he left people feeling proud to have known him and i wish we would have kept in touch after grad but i'm still proud to have called him a 'friend'

It was exactly a year ago that Rinaldo and I spent a week finalizing a land claim survey at Tsay Keh Dene, a very remote community in northern BC. For both of us, it was the culmination of many years of work and it was Rinaldo's first visit to the site. Although I had worked closely with Rinaldo on a number of BC Hydro projects, this was the first time that we spent any time 'in the bush'. Rinaldo was in his element and we had a grand time running survey lines, setting monuments and carving bearing trees. At the end of the day we caught fish and cooked them on the campfire. I surmised from his enthusiasm that Rinaldo was ready to embark upon a new career as a surveyor. He would have been good at it.
 
It was shortly after our return to the Lower Mainland that Rinaldo began his struggle with that most feared disease. I was convinced that someone as young and strong as Rinaldo could beat this. It was not to be. Even with the support and prayers of his family, friends and co-workers it was not to be.
 
I learned of Rinaldo's passing while here again in Tsay Keh Dene.
 My thoughts keep turning to that wonderful person who is with us no longer, and I am deeply saddened. Rinaldo touched my life all too briefly and I will always remember him fondly.
