Rino Perrella

October 25, 1951 – September 6, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rino Perrella on September 6, 2022 at the age of 70.

Rino was a devoted husband to Maria, a loving father to Anthony and Tiffany and an adoring Papa to his precious grandsons Daniel and Joshua.

Rino was born in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy and predeceased by his parents Mario and Zita Perrella.

He will be missed by his family, sister-in-law America (John), brother-in law Angelo (Jeanette), his nieces and nephews and many friends and colleagues.

Rino was a caring, kind, generous and humble man. He had a passion for math, sciences and woodworking and he enjoyed sharing this knowledge with his grandsons. Always designing and making fun educational toys for them.

He retired from Telus a few years back but that didn’t slow him down. He wanted to share his interests and volunteered with Science World – Scientists & Innovations in Schools Program and travelled to many schools across BC to teach students all about physics, global warming and green energy. He also mentored senior high school students at Templeton High School with their STEM program.
