Marjanovic, Robert “Bosko” was born near Tuzla in Bosnia and Hercegovina on December 27, 1931. He was predeceased by his wife, Milka, mother Janja, father Ivo, brother Milenko and Sister Anka. He is survived by his sister Ljubica and many members of his extended family. Robert escaped from Communist Yugoslavia in the 1950s and made his way to Italy. In 1957, he obtained employment with the CPR and made his way to Canada. He worked with VIA Rail until his retirement in 1996. He had many fond memories of his co-workers and the many passengers he met. Robert always had a warm and kind smile and was proud to call everyone his friend. He died peacefully surrounded by loving friends and he was always in the thoughts of those close to him. A special thank you to the staff at Carlton Gardens for the wonderful care Robert received over the past five years. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 11:00am at St Francis de Sales Church, 6610 Balmoral Street in Burnaby. The interment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street in Burnaby.
