Rocco passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the age of 84 (just shy of his 85th birthday). Rocco passed away peacefully after a difficult illness with family at his bedside and his loving wife, Serafina, holding his hand.
Rocco was predeceased by: His father: Francesco Morano, His Mother: Maria Carmela Morano (nee Lipari); Sister: Concetta Pezzano (nee Morano); Brother-in-law: Bruno Pezzano; Brother: Giuseppe Morano; Brother: Antonino Morano; Brother: Pasquale Morano; Brother: Rosario Morano; Brother: Rocco Morano (before Dad).
Rocco is survived by his loving family: Wife: Serafina Morano (nee Del Giglio) Son: Francesco Morano (Ladan Morano) Daughter: Carmela Thomson (Todd Thomson) Son: Nino Morano (Jo Ann Marie Morano) Daughter: Maria Morano Sister: Tina Zappia (nee Morano) Brother: Giacomo Morano sister-in Law: Franca di Censi Morano, Sister-in-Law: Antonietta Morano (nee LaRosa), Sister-In-Law: Concettina Morano (wife of Antonino Morano), Sister-in-law: Filomena Zappone (nee Del Giglio) Brother-in-Law: Ferdinand Del Giglio, Sister-in-law: Concettina Del Giglio, Sister-in-Law: Teresa LaRosa; Grandchildren: Marcus Morano, Graeme Thomson, Sofia Morano, Iain Thomson, Jacqueline Morano, Matteo Morano, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rocco will be forever in our hearts and will be sadly missed. Rocco’s lust (gusto) for life shone through his family, love of music and dance, storytelling and jokes, his wine and his garden. It was with a lifetime of hard work, sacrifices, commitment and dedication that he provided his family with “una vita saporita”. We are richer in spirit and in life because of our papa.
A memorial/visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7th between 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. All are welcome, however, we will be following COVID-19 restrictions.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC on Thursday, October 8th, 2020 and will be available by invitation only due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Entombment to follow at The Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, British Columbia also by invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions.

•Scheduled Home Visits with Social Distancing and COVID-19 guidelines: Serafina Morano can welcome family, friends and neighbors to accept condolences to her home with social distancing criteria (limit of numbers inside, sanitize hands, wear mask, attempt to visit outside if the weather permits).
•Church Funeral Services and Mausoleum services: are available, however will be by invitation only due COVID-19 restrictions. Please RSVP asap if you receive an invitation to the Church service and Mausoleum service.
