Rosalind (Ong) Ma

Devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Rosalind was born on December 3, 1929 in Calcutta, India. On March 2, 2022 at the age of 92, she passed away peacefully in her sleep with family at her side in White Rock, BC.

Rosalind is survived by: her three loving children - Mitchell (Teresa Perri), Christina Mackay (Bob) and Carey; her six grandchildren - Zachary (Ashley), Nichole (Nick Woodall), Erin, Sean, Janay (Stefan Bichlmaier) and Jonah; her four great grandchildren - Paxton, Peyton, Wyatt and Hank; and three siblings - Grace Ruscoe (Robert), Robert (Suzie) and Jim (Seet Larn).

She is predeceased by her loving husband William, her brother Gay and her sister Mary.

In May of 1964, Rosalind, Bill and their three children immigrated to Canada from India. Despite the challenges of starting a new life, she and Bill persevered, established successful careers (Bill as a Royal Bank of Canada account manager and Rosalind as an accountant for Airwest Airlines / Air BC), and together they raised a strong healthy family.

Rosalind lived a wonderful life based on the tenets of devotion, faith, hard work and generosity. In return, she received the genuine friendship of all those whose lives she touched, and was peacefully received into heaven by God.

She will always be remembered for her enduring love and devotion to William and their family, and also for her kind, generous nature to help others.
