Roy was always very willing to mentor me and support my efforts after we had won the New Ventures Agritech First Prize in 2011. In meeting with Roy on a number of occasions, it wasn't hard to see his abilities and talents and his willingness to share them. I will miss my talks with Roy and pray for the peace of his wife and family through this tragic time. Thanks, Roy, you are gone far too young.

My condolences to the Leahy family. I knew Roy from the Tri-Link days and he was a great help to me with my startup companies (Appazur Solutions). His enthusiasm, commitment, focus, and discipline set a great example, and his mentorship of new companies will leave a lasting legacy.

Our condolences to Mrs. Leahy and family. We appreciated all the hard work and time Roy put into his work with the Harbour Cove Strata Council. A thankless job, but he was up for it, unlike us. Thank you Roy.

Roy was our first Executive in Residence at Wavefront and set the bar high for other mentors that have followed. He was generous with his time and wisdom and we all benefited from knowing him. He will be missed by all.

Our hearts broke when we received the news of Roy's passing. He was a great brother-in-law and uncle who always made time for us. Adam & Jamie will always remember going to movies with Uncle Roy and all the fun times he shared with them when we were together. Joe & I will miss getting together with  Roy & Lois, trying out new recipes,  talking, laughing and enjoying each others company. Roy will be forever remembered in our hearts.

I was very saddened to hear of Roy's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Roy from his early days at Prism Systems to his more recent involvement with the ACETECH Market Validation Program and the BCIC Mentor Program.  In all of these endeavours, Roy was always generous with his time and advice. He spared no effort in helping people attain their goals - the numerous comments within guest book are but a small testament of how many people helped over the years. His passing is a great loss to the BC technology community. And I will miss his comments, insights and suggestions when I next deliver the next MVP course. My condolences to the family. I will be out of town the day of his service but my thoughts will be with you.

Roy was a long-time client - always a pleasure to work with.  I was very saddened to hear of his passing.  My sincere condolences to the Leahy Family.

It came as a shock to us at Skytrend Solutions when we heard of Roy's sudden passing. Roy was our first business mentor, so we feel indebted to him for his guidance, patience and humour. Even though we worked together for only three months, I'm certain I'll be repeating some of his wise advice many years from now. I'm sure he'll be missed by all at Wavefront.

Roy is well remembered. My fond memories of him include: taking me to La Ronde amusement park at Expo 67, teaching me to parallel park when I was 16, helping me change the spark plugs and distributor cap on my first car ('69 Fiat 850 Coupe), and most of all -- just being the great guy that he was. Roy was a caring and  loving uncle to the Bullock children,  brother -in-law and friend  to me and my brother as well, as the years went by, my very supportive business colleague.  From the day in 1964 our paths first crossed in Northern Electric where we both landed our first real jobs, through countless happy family times  and later as we shared our business experiences and encouraged the other to excel, I so enjoyed his company. On behalf of the British Columbia Innovation Council, I offer the Leahy family our sincere condolences. Roy was a prominent member of the technology community in B.C. He was a valued mentor in BCIC's Mentor Program, volunteering his time to provide advice and council to many young tech entrepreneurs in our community. On a personal note, he was also my friend, and someone I frequently sought advice from. We joked and laughed a lot together over lunch and coffee. I always found his business insight sound and well grounded in his personal experience.  I will miss Roy, and despite the hardship of this time, wish all members of the Leahy family well.

Thank you for being an amazing Father and an unbelievable Granddad.  You have been the most influential, supportive, and caring person in my life and with you gone, you leave a huge hole that will never be filled again.  I am just glad that you could be there at my wedding and that you could spend time with Reid.  It meant the world to me that the two of you bonded, and he now sleeps with that puppy dog puppet you got for him.  You are missed greatly and loved always.

Such a gentle soul with a big happy smile. That is how I will remember you. Although I called you Roy, I thought of you as Dad. I thank God for the time you got to spend with your only grandchild and that you were with us on our wedding day. I only wish we all had more time, as you were taken from us too soon and too sudden.
