No words can describe how shocked and sadden I am hearing about this loss. It was an honor to been able to know her personally and also a pleasure to learn the art of nursing under her guidance.

We came to visit Auntie Sai Choon and family in the summer of 2013. Auntie Sai Choon was a loving, thoughtful woman who took so much care to welcome us to her home in Vancouver. She would cook us wonderful meals, and take time out of her schedule to accompany us around the city. We felt well cared for. Auntie Sai Choon, you are very much missed! Your smile stays with us. There are no words at times like this and yet words are necessary to tell of how precious Sai has been to us who knew her. Sai has given her time to help and minister to the young people in our church and she has blessed many of us with healthy home cooked soups, salads and the best ever Christmas loaf. Two years ago, when I was sick, she lovingly made me some nutritious soup and brought it to my home. Sai, you are missed deeply. We pray for God's love and peace to be poured upon Brian, Sarah and Rosie.

was a fellow student with Sai at IHN. She willingingly shared her breadth of knowledge from her nursing and teaching background in her calm, matter of fact manner, which enriched each class. She was so clearly a woman of integrity and a genuinely good human being. I grieve with you and offer my sincere condolences to those she leaves behind.

Getting the news that Sai passed away was a heartbreaking shock. I knew Sai as a kind colleague, a committed nurse educator, student focused, and dedicated to assisting everyone she worked with toward success. Sai was generous, giving her time, attention and delicious food to many. My prayer is that Sai's family may be blessed with every possible comfort at this time of tremendous loss.

I was blessed to have met Sai as a nursing student at Douglas College (class of 2014) and she was simply amazing. I am really heartbroken to hear about her passing...she was just so full of life and always supported us as students in being successful in everything we pursued. She was a kind soul and I can only wish the family strength to surpass this sad time and my sincerest condolences.

I met Sai 25 years ago at Douglas College and we enjoyed working together.  We worked hard but we had fun. I loved her laugh. I was always impressed with her incredible knowledge and I am not surprised that she wanted to expand her abilities past retirement into the world of healthy nutrition...She had so much to give to others.  Most of all she was a wonderful, sincere friend.  I will miss Sai so much.  My deepest condolences to Brian, Sarah, Rosie, her family and her friends. She loved you all so much.  Love to Sai.

We were blessed to have Sai In our BSF small group last year and her generous spirit and kindness touched all of us. She was a wonderful encouragement to each of us in faith shown in her own loving abidance in Christ Jesus. We were enriched with her helpful healthy advice and delicious cooking. She will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your great loss, but be comforted to know that Sai is joyfully with our dear Lord Jesus now.

Words cannot express the sorrow felt with Sai's passing.  Her caring disposition touched many who will cherish her genuine kindness, support and inspiration.  She was a valued colleague and friend who beamed with pride whenever asked about her family.  May you find comfort and peace in your joyful memories.

I had known Sai for a long time, sharing many a story about our teaching days at both Cariboo and Douglas College.  I will remember Sai as a gentle soul who was passionate about, and devoted to, bringing out the best in those that surrounded her.       May she rest in peace.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Sai's passing. My thoughts are with her family. I have known Sai for such a short time, she was in a few of my classes at IHN, we graduated together in October. I will miss her wealth of knowledge and kind heart. Connie

I worked with Sai for over 10 years at Douglas College nursing program. She cared deeply about nursing and nursing education. We would often chat about her family or her upbringing and I will miss her deeply.

I am saddened by Sai's sudden passing.  She was so looking forward to her retirement and her next phase in life.  I worked with Sai at Douglas College and at Langara.  She was a committed nurse and educator.  She spoke of her family with pride and joy.  May she rest in peace.

Dear Brian, Sarah, Rosie and family: May you be uplifted in knowing that Sai has touched the lives of many people as a dedicated nursing teacher and a caring friend. I will miss her listening ear and thoughtful health advice.

My deepest love and prayers are with Sai and her family in this time of incredible sorrow. Sai was in our Bible Study Fellowship group and she was an integral part who will be deeply missed. She always had thoughtful, intelligent and caring responses to the questions and to the other group members. We will never forget how she opened her home to us and fed us her beautiful, healthy food. Our love is with you all, and we know that with the love that Sai shared for her Father, she is free from burden and with him now.

I am so saddened to hear about the loss of such a dear colleague. Sai had a strong passion for nursing and expected high standards for the patients under her care. We are so fortunate to have many of her nursing graduates practicing today. One fond memory I had with Sai is that over several years we always seemed to bump into each other at the annual PNE.  We had always had a good laugh over that.

Dear Brian, Sarah, Rosie, and family:  I am deeply saddened to hear of Sai's passing.  I have uplifted you in my prayers and thoughts.  I knew Sai from ECBC.  She was a kind and gentle friend.  I will miss her.  For now, I mourn with you.  Hugs for all of you.

I am very sorry to hear about Sai's sudden passing. I first met Sai when she began teaching at Cariboo College (TRU) and I was a student. I ran into Sai many years later at Douglas College when we became colleagues. Sai will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

It is with deep sadness and disbelief  to hear Sai is no longer with us. I know she is now in a better place yet we will miss her.  Sai loves her family very much. She also loves to encourage her friends, willingly imparting her knowledge of healthy eating and exercise. I enjoyed a trip to Israel with Sai and others a few years ago, and know that it has been memorable for her as well. Sai has been a strong and caring friend to me for more than 40 years! Her devotion to her family, friends and faith were what she breathed on a daily basis. Her pain must have been so deep to leave what she treasured so much on earth. May her spirit be in peace in the Kingdom of God and find permanent refuge there. Our family is going to miss you dearly and we will pray for your spiritual progression with lots of love!
