Samuel Fook Hong Lee

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Anita Yuet Ngor Lee; his eldest son Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Melanie, and grandsons Adam and Ryan; his daughter Ivy; his son Jasper, daughter-in-law Raven, and granddaughter Anissa.

In 2022, Samuel suffered a traumatic injury that left him in need of daily care. With unwavering love and devotion, his family especially his wife Anita and daughter Ivy—ensured he was able to remain at home, comfortable and well cared for, with the support of Fraser Health’s integrated care teams. Following an illness, Samuel passed away in the early morning hours of January 2026 at Royal Columbian Hospital.

Samuel valued family above all else. A devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather, he embodied strong filial values, a deep sense of responsibility, and quiet devotion. Thoughtful and pragmatic by nature, Samuel expressed love through action rather than words. To those who knew him well, he was warm, engaging, and generous with his time and knowledge. He had a lifelong love of photography, nature, dogs, gardening, and cooking, and found great joy in caring for his home, his garden, and his family.

Though he is no longer with us, Samuel’s unconditional love, dedication to family, and enduring values will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
