Mrs. Sandra Katherine Quercetti

(nee Veljacic)

Sandra was born in Vancouver B.C. to Alfonzo and Mary Veljacic on January 26th, 1939. Sandra had many passions in life, with music being one of them. Her music ranged from traditional Croatian to classical, to jazz. Another passion was good food. She loved to cook great dinners for her fortunate guests. Most of all she loved people from all walks of life and they all loved her back, she connected. She kept the family together with lunches and dinners and anything Croatian, whether it be concerts, dances ect. She instilled strong Croatian roots within the family and community. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will be remembered as a kind, gentle and fun loving lady. She is survived by her loving husband Bruno, her brother Alfonso and families. A special thanks to the family physician, Dr. Gordon, and our sincere gratitude goes out to the Ambulance drivers, the caring staff at the VGH cancer clinic and finally to the compassionate, supportive and amazing ladies at May's Place Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra's memory may be made to May's Place Hospice 333 Powell Street, Vancouver B.C. V6A 1G5. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday August 8th, 2013 at 11.00 am at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Croatian Church 3105 East 1st Avenue, Vancouver, followed by a reception at the Croatian Cultural Center 3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver.
