It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Se-Kwang Oh, who passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 86.
Mr. Oh found his greatest joy in caring for those he loved, extending kindness to those in need, and embracing life with curiosity and perseverance. From his daily walks around Queen Elizabeth Park and his mandatory morning papaya to learning new hobbies like drumming, dancing, and DJing, he never stopped exploring life's possibilities. He believed in working hard while finding joy in the work itself, and he lived that philosophy every day as a dedicated heavy-duty mechanic and proud business owner, leading by sometimes quiet and often outspoken example.
He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, remarkable work ethic, generous heart, determination, and the wisdom he shared so freely. His kindness and perseverance will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Se-Kwang is survived by his wife, Myung Ja Shin; his children and their families: Joon Hyung Oh and Natalie; Gin-A Oh and Dave; Mike Choe and Asami; and Nina Choe and Harrison. He was also the proud grandfather of seven cherished grandchildren: Mia, Olivia, Isaac, Apollo, Clair, Christopher, and Magnolia.
Though our hearts are with loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared, the lessons he taught us, and the love that remains. His presence will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are warmly invited and encouraged to join us for Mr Oh's services and the reception to follow. Please see the below service details for more information. Funeral webcasting will be available for those unable to attend in person.

"Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. May your soul rest in eternal peace."
