Sharon was the kind of person who made life feel lighter just by being in the room—easygoing, good-natured, and always ready with a warm smile. Her greatest joy was her family, to whom she gave her time, her care, and her unwavering love. She had a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Deeply loved and cherished, she will be profoundly missed by her family, who carry her memory with them always.
Sharon is survived by her husband, James, her children Ivan (Minnie), Alfred (Teresa), Christine (Garry), Edmond, her grandchildren, Stephen, Elise, Ryan, her sister, Shirley, her brother, Harry (Elaine), nephew Harrison, niece Allison (Jordan), and grand nephew Linden.
The Pon and Lee families wish to express their gratitude to the staff at the Arbutus Care Centre in Vancouver for the compassionate care they provided during Sharon’s final weeks. We are deeply comforted by the respect and dignity shown in every interaction, as well as the genuine warmth and empathy that each member of their team brought to their work. They made a meaningful impact during an incredibly challenging time. The Pon and Lee families will always be grateful.
A memorial service will be held 1 to 2 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home in Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that a donation be made to a charity of your choice in Sharon’s memory.
